Return Policy

If you are not entirely satisfied with your unused SafeDecisions product then, you can return it within 30 days of purchase. A new product may be exchanged for another product or returned for a refund. All returns and exchanges must be authorized in advance.

Returns

To qualify for a return or exchange, the product must be new, unused, never installed, and in its original condition. SafeDecisions also requires that all original parts, accessories, and manuals be returned with the safe in all its original double boxed packaging. Shipping charges incurred in connection with the return of the safe are non- refundable.

SafeDecisions will not issue a refund if the product shows signs of wear, damage due to installation, contains scratches, dents, water damage, keypad damage, electronic damage, or any other damage that may be noted.

SafeDecisions reserves the right to assess the condition of the returned product and either grant or deny a refund.

Exchanges

If you would like to exchange your unused product, then please enclose a note with your return that indicates the product name and model number you would like instead.

After receipt and satisfactory inspection of the return, SafeDecisions will assess the difference in price. If the product you are exchanging for is less expensive than the original unused product, then SafeDecisions will refund the difference to the original method of payment. If the product is more expensive than the original unused product, then you will be responsible for paying the difference. Call 212-563-1111 to arrange for any additional payment due before an item can be shipped.

Damaged Product

Although quite rare, if in the event a product shipped from our end gets damaged during Return@SafeDecisions.com and/or call Customer Service 212-563-1111 to report a damaged product within 36 hours of product delivery. Damages/Defects reported after 7 days will not be covered. Do not discard the damaged item or its packaging. In addition, photographic proof is a requisite for substantiating the damage.

A subsequent request and issue of a Return Material Authorization (RMA) by SafeDecisions will be necessary. The customer will not be responsible for the shipping costs to return or replace a damaged item. In the event of buyer’s remorse, the request for replacement can be denied and the customer may have to incur the cost of return shipment and a restocking fee of 35%.

Return Material Authorization

A Return Material Authorization (RMA) is a required authorization that allows you, our end-user, to return product. This ensures proper crediting of returned product to your account upon receipt at our Warehouse/RMA Return Center. In most cases, returned product must be received before any replacement product will be shipped. If you do not contact us, and retain an RMA number, prior to returning your item, we will not be able to process your return.

Product should never be sent without a properly issued RMA number, COD shipments are NOT accepted

How to Obtain an RMA Number

Return Method

Note: Customer is responsible for freight charges on returned or exchanged product to SafeDecisions LLC.

  • Products should be returned to SafeDecisions LLC via the most economical means available that provides you with a “tracking number” for your shipment. The U.S. Postal Service AND some mailing services do not always provide tracking numbers
  • Product should be fully protected to prevent damage. Returned product should be packed carefully in all its original packaging, properly ensuring that damage and/or further damage does not occur to the product. Payment for the product will incur if:
    • Returned product is received damaged or further damage results due to poor packaging; and/or
    • Returned product does not contain the pre-assigned RMA number.
    • Returned product must be returned within 10 business days of issuing the RMA label.
    • To return the product, ensure it is securely packed, include proof of purchase, and mail the return to the following address:

Return Shipping

Excluding damaged products, Shipping charges incurred in connection with the return of a safe are non-refundable. You are responsible for paying the costs of shipping and for the risk of loss of or damage to the product during shipping. There is a 35% restocking fee for any product returned with the exception of damaged products which have been properly documented as described above.

Refund

After SafeDecisions receives the returned product and inspects its condition, SafeDecisions will process your refund or exchange. Refunds will be sent to the original method of payment. Please allow at least 15 days from SafeDecisions’ receipt of the product to process the return. Refunds may take 1-2 billing cycles to post to your credit card statement, depending on your bank.  SafeDecisions will notify you by email when the return has been processed.

Shipping Policy

PROVIDING THE BEST ISN’T OUR GOAL IT’S OUR STANDARD

United States

SafeDecisions offers 1-5 business day shipping via UPS Ground as our standard shipping option on all product orders shipped within the continental United States, this excludes Hawaii and Alaska.

Shipping Cost

For all online orders, SafeDecisions will provide free shipping in the continental United States, a $50 value, but reserves the right to charge for shipping for special orders and under certain circumstances and the right to change this policy without advanced notification. All items will require signature for delivery.

Business Days & Holidays

All orders process and ship Monday – Friday, excluding federal holidays within the United States. If the order is placed after the cut-off time of 4:00pm est, then it will be processed the following business day. Packages do not ship from our distribution centers on weekends or the following US holidays:

Tracking Orders

When your order is ready to be shipped, you will receive a shipment confirmation email. Most of our orders are shipped within 1-5 business days after the order has been placed. The email will contain shipment details, your tracking number, and a link to the UPS site. To track the order, click on the tracking number located near the bottom of the email. To track an order on  SafeDecisions.com, visit the Account Information area. You will need to sign in to access your account information. For your convenience, you will see the expected delivery date for your order when you select a delivery option, on the Order Confirmation page, on the Order Details page, and on the Order Confirmation email.

This section can be edited as deemed necessary in accordance with SafeDecisions business practices.

Multiple Shipping Addresses

SafeDecisions is unable to ship to multiple addresses in a single order. To ship to multiple addresses, we recommend placing a separate orders for each address.

P.O. Boxes

Due to the product size, SafeDecisions does not ship to P.O. Boxes.

Institutional Orders

Institutional orders may require additional production time before they are ready to be shipped. These orders require pallets and special freight shipment arrangements. Institutional shipping is paid for by the institution. Please note that institutional orders cannot be cancelled or returned after they have been ordered and put into production.

APO/FPO/DPO Military Addresses

Standard shipping to APO, FPO, and DPO addresses is via UPS Ground. Due to military handling time, delivery to some destinations may take an extended period of time.

Parcel Forwarding Services

If you choose to use a parcel forwarding company, then SafeDecisions will not be liable for any damage, defect, or loss that occurs. SafeDecisions will not offer replacements or refunds for orders or items that are reported missing or damaged that SafeDecisions reasonably believes to have been delivered to a parcel forwarding company. Any order addressed to a parcel forwarding company is placed at your own risk. SafeDecisions is not responsible for lost or stolen packages.
