You will need 5 AA batteries. We recommend that you use quality name-brand batteries within their expiration date. Do not use rechargeable or non-alkaline batteries, and do not mix battery brands or old batteries with new ones.

Yes, they can; however, please take precaution. Although the wire between the keyboard and CPU is flexible, do not detach it because damage to the cable or the keyboard can prevent the safe from opening.

While our Certified Technicians are happy to provide professional installation services, our safes are developed for easy self-installation. There are four mounting holes on the bottom of the safe for secure shelf or floor installation. For additional protection, there are two mounting holes at the back of the safe.

The internal mechanism of a top-quality safe door is permanently lubricated and therefore needs no maintenance. Occasionally, you may wish to lubricate your door bolts and clean your safe with a soft cloth and ammonia free window cleaner.
