The battery compartment is located behind the faceplate on the front of the safe. We encourage you to contact our support team for your model’s specific instructions.

The safe has six or more mounting holes; four on the bottom for secure shelf or floor installation, and at least two at the back of the safe for additional support.

You will need 5 AA batteries. We recommend that you use quality name-brand batteries within their expiration date. Do not use rechargeable or non-alkaline batteries, and do not mix battery brands or old batteries with new ones.

Yes, they can; however, please take precaution, although the wire between the keyboard and CPU is flexible, do not detach it because damage to the cable or the keyboard can prevent the safe from opening.

SafeDecisions safes are not fire rated. Due to the many different degrees of heat intensity and duration, it’s extremely difficult to rate any in-room electronic safe accurately.
